Farewell to a friend

This is not a technical post, instead it is a message to my second best friend in the world (behind my wife).  You know my friend and you’ve seen him, although you might not know his name.  He’s been with me for the past 10 years, an integral part of my life.  He’s listened to my triumphs, and he’s listened to me while I have been at my lowest points.  We’ve shared meals, late nights with sick family members, and holidays together.  Recently he drove with me cross-country as I relocated from New Hartford, NY to Round Rock, TX.  It was a 1750 mile trip, we had a wonderful time together, and he never complained.  His picture is at the top of this blog.

His name was Boomer.  He was my dog.  He died today, and I’ll miss him.
